Any team needs to have clear, actionable objectives in order to be successful. This is no different for staff in a primary school. Elementary teachers are responsible for students across multiple subjects and areas of the curriculum. The administrative and support staff are also in frequent communication with others in the district. How to Run an Effective Primary School Meeting

It all starts with preparation for the meeting, and then moves on to active steps during and after the meeting that will ensure things are moving forward. Here are 8 steps that will help you have effective primary school meetings, from start to finish:

1. Create teams

The first place to start is to divide school staff into teams. Creating teams is important, especially in large schools, because it allows for more meaningful conversations and gives more staff members the opportunity to contribute. A large, school-wide meeting with maybe only one or two people doing the talking won’t have the same outcome as a team-based approach.
